Long hair

The beauty of long hair depends upon protective steps taken against exposure to the negative effects of climate, drying shampoos, styling techniques and chemical procedures. Good (or bad) habits have a cumulative effect.

- Tip
- Use a smooth, round-edged, wide-toothed comb. The parts of the hair that get tangled in the comb need conditioning. Daily brushing distributes natural oils-natural bristle brushes are best. Teasing is taboo!
- CLEANSE
- Cleansing is the basis for all beautiful hair, no matter what length. GL shampoo, a mild, non-aggressive liquid shampoo, is easily dispersed from scalp to ends. After wetting hair, apply Protein mask, Balm or Hydrate to the ends and top cover of the hair. Apply and distribute the shampoo on the scalp and about 8 inches down the hair shaft. Massage gently, from the top of your forehead to the nape of the neck. Lift fingers frequently to avoid twisting the hair. Before rinsing, squeeze (don't rub) the shampoo through the ends. The run-off will safely cleanse the ends. Rinse and repeat the process.
- TONE
- To re-establish the natural pH balance, moisture and antiseptic qualities, apply Balance scalp lotion. For a tailor-made lotion, consult with an ÆSTELANCE Specialist to add Aromazones suited to your scalp condition.
- MOISTURIZE
- Condition with Protein mask for protein, lipid and moisture improvement. Mud mask gives a quick moisture boost. Use Protein mask or Mud mask once a month for about 30 minutes or longer for more intensive protein or moisture improvement. If hair needs strength, first apply Energy. Don't forget leave-in conditioners--for coarser hair, apply Balm or Revitalize. For finer hair, use Hydrate
- DESIGN
- Use Foam or Trigel. They have no alcohol and will not dry out the hair. A light spritz with Lustre will give hair a high gloss sparkle. Hair cream adds sheen and protects against drying and sun damage.
